THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ROOFLINE

Your roofline consists of two main elements – the fascia board and the soffit board.

 

The fascia board is the board that runs along the lower edge of the roofline to support the bottom row of tiles and carry the gutters. It is extremely important as it has gallons of water wash over it during the course of a year.

 

The soffit board is under the fascia board, often ventilated to allow air to flow into the roof to prevent the formation of condensation in the roof void that can result in timber decay.
